Q: How close is Lake Murray? A: 20 minutes away
Q: How close are the cabins to the water? A: Not including a creek that runs through the property and beside all the units excluding "The Love Train Caboose." Each unit is about a mile from the Red River and 20 minutes away from Lake Murray.
Q: How far are the units apart from one another? A: The Creek-Side Cottage is completely secluded from the other units. The Love Train Caboose is on a hillside about 100 yards or a football field in length away from the nearest cabin. The Red Bud and The Green-Briar cabins are about 200 feet apart. They're within walking distance, but are totally secluded from one another by many trees in between. Each unit has been placed on the property with guest privacy in mind.
Q: Can we bring a boat or ATV? A: Yes, there is plenty of room for boat parking although the ATV can't be ridden on the property; we are located 20 minutes from Lake Murray ATV Track.
Q: Is there horseback riding available? A: There are riding stables at Lake Murray about 20 minutes away.
Q: Are the cabins equipped with air-conditioning and heat? A: Yes
Q: Are any meals included in my stay? A: Only if you purchase additional packages during the checkout process.
Q: Is there a cancellation fee? A: Yes, we do have a cancellation fee. A 10-day notice for cancellations required. If you cancel within 10 days of your reservation, you will loose your initial deposit. Voicemail/messages/emails are NOT accepted for cancellations. YOU MUST CALL and speak to someone directly. There is a non-refundable cancellation fee of $20.00 on all cancellations unless you purchase the trip cancelation insurance during your booking process. Cancellations made the day of check-in are considered no shows and will be charged FULL PRICE.
Q: Do you provide firewood for the fire pits? A: Yes, firewood is provided or can be picked up free of charge.
Q: Do the hot-tubs work? A: Yes, the hot tubs are maintained and kept in working order including frequent filter and water changes. The water is changed after every guest.
Q: Do the units have phone service? A: There is not a land-line phone in any cabins and the cell service is poor. Many of our guests leave our personal phone numbers with their families in case of an emergency.
Q: What should we bring? A: Since each unit is fully furnished with dishes, towels, and linens, the main thing is food, drinks, personal hygiene needs, charcoal for the grill, bug spray during summer time and tiki oil for the torches.
Q: Are the units equipped with satellite cable or Wi-Fi? A: No. However, each unit has a television with a DVD/player and stocked with old favorite movies. Feel free to bring your favorite movies.
Q: Do you offer senior citizen, military, or police discounts? A: No, but we do offer specials and last-minute deals. You can join our list of subscribers by liking our Facebook page.
Q: What time is check-in/ can we arrive late? A: 4:00 P.M. is check-in, but we love to get guests in as early as we can. As soon as your unit is cleaned and ready to go, we will call you.
Q: What time is check-out? A: 11:00 A.M unless the Noon check-out is purchased during reservations.
Q: Can any romance packages be added after reservations are made? A: It's always best to add the package while reservations are being made, although you can now add a package later by calling. Keep in mind that we require 24-hour notice on most packages.
Q: Are the roads paved to the cabins? A: The final 2 1/2 miles to the private driveway are county roads which can be rough at times. (Just plan on driving slow for 2.5 miles). The private drive to each unit is gravel.
Q: Can I surprise my significant other by keeping our reservations a secret? A: Yes, when doing so we recommend using a private email address and payment method for the reservation process. Our system is fully automated and your confirmation will be sent to the email address used during reservations. Please specify on your reservation that it is a surprise so no additional contact will be made.
Q: Are children allowed? A: Yes, but only in the Creek-Side Cottage. The other cabins have been designated for couples only.
